Madeleines Bakehouse began at local Farmers Markets. While selling out of a 10 by 10 tent, we dreamt about having our own storefront with an open airy kitchen. In less than a year, the dream became a reality and our shop was opened in October 2010, in Jefferson Pointe.
We are genuine artisan bakers, meaning that we use the highest quality ingredients, and traditional methods to make our pastries and treats. Better ingredients mean a better pastry. We are very committed to using the best ingredients available. We use unbleached and unbromated flour in all of our recipes, real European-style butter, local free range eggs from Seven Sons, and local organic produce, when seasonally available. The name, “Madeleines Bakehouse” comes from a pastry that inspired our baking in the first place. Madeleines are a simple pastry, that receives little to no acclaim in most bakeries in the states. They are perfectly representative of everything we are accomplishing : creating unique, traditionally made pastries, with simple, local ingredients and an international heritage.
Our team works diligently at our retail shop, baking fresh daily to provide our community with fresh, quality baked goods. Our wholesale division strives to bring the Madeleines Bakehouse experience to others around the country.
